I was listening to KNBR at 4:10PM and some caller said that, according to his source, the Giants will sign Bruce Bochy to a 3 year, $6M contract.

Has anyone heard any confirmation of this anywhere else?  Of course, it could be some kook calling in and claiming this, but I thought I would throw this out to everyone, since Ralph and Tom didn't outright pooh-pooh the rumor as rubbish.

If so, color me very disappointed.  

So, anybody know of any good interviews with Bochy anywhere, like the Acta interview at BP?  Is there any reason for Giants fans to be happy about this, should it happen as rumored?  Ralph and Tom seemed to respect Bochy as a manager, though as Tom speculated, like I did in another post, who exactly did SD sign as free agents that was due to Bochy, only Piazza comes to mind, Giles was traded for and he grew up there, so it wasn't Bochy driven that he signed with them.
