I was going to post this down on one of the other Managerial threads but they have all either been knocked off or are at the bottom so I thought I should make yet another one.
Since Cubs brass are now stating that Piniella is the frunt runner for the job, how good is the chance that Girardi comes out west? Even though Piniella has said that Washington doesn't seem like a fit that statement seems like a full on lie to me. IMO Washington seems closer to competing than the Cubs by a few years and its much closer to TB than Chicago.
Also, like everyone else ive started to hear rumor that Bochy is interested in the Giants job, personally I hope Bochy takes a running jump because I think he's extremely overrated as a manager. I would rather have the exumed corpse of Christy Mathewson making calls than the mustacheless Bruce Bochy.
Im still rooting for Wotus but I also like the ideas of Girardi, Washington or Brenly (though I know a lot of people here don't agree with me)
