Chron Atricle: Bonds batting 2nd? Winn 3rd?

Interesting theory about getting Bonds more at-bats if they yank him early. I'm not sure how often that would make a difference just two spots earlier in the lineup; one of you numbers guys probably know.

Was also interested to see that their working on an extension for Winn.  I would have liked to see the expression on the face of Winn's agent when he read Winn's quote, "I believe that over the course of a season my numbers are going to end up somewhere where they have the last couple of years."  Now the Giants can say, "Ok, so we both agree your 2005 numbers with us were a statistical fluke. Great! We were worried you'd try to use those numbers to bargain with."
