Open Gameday Thread, 9/20

Congratulations to the San Jose Giants on their championship. I'd write more, but there is a thunderstorm in Pacifica right now that is heralding in the apocalypse. I have to make sure and finish this before I lose my wireless connection. The power has dropped off once already.

But if this is the for-reals apocalypse, does that mean the San Francisco Giants are actually winning the World Series this year? I'd make that trade, depending on how long we'd have to suffer through the gnashing of teeth. I hate the gnashing of teeth. The rivers of bile, you'd get used to those.

On the subject of the Nats nee Expos
Anyone else notice Youppi! the mascot is back? Apparently he's been adopted by the Montreal Canadiens. Good for the orange monster. His former team rues the day it left him off the moving van driving down to D.C.

Since the Nats rolled over and died against the Pads, is it too much to ask that they continue to remain dead for the next three days? Thank you.

I'm a life-long Pacifican...
...and we never used to have September thunderstorms before you came to town. I'm just saying.

Alfonso: .284/.334/.353
Durham: .297/.365/.443

Why is Fonzie third and Durham sixth? Fonzie's line just gets more pathetic each time I look at it. Will no-one rid me of this turbulent chief? And what does Vizquel have to do to get dropped down the order?

The ump is squeezing Cain.

Fonzie up until May 2nd:
