whether Sabean is secretly rooting for him to fail, if only to somehow justify the trade?

If by the end of the summer Jerome is throwing lights out, David Aardsma is coming on in the ninth to save his starts, and Wrigley is awash in fans wearing puka shells, I'll be more than a little miffed.

Cubs are the Giants "B" team

I'm guessing

Mitre is the first guy to lose a spot in the rotation.

Prior, Zambrano, Maddux, Rusch, Williams

And when Wood comes back it's either Rusch or Williams. That's my guess anyway, I'm kind of hoping that Prior, Wood, and Zambrano are never healthy at the same time because I now have both Rusch and Williams on my team.
