-It appears Jesus Reina threw a gem in San Jose tonight. Probably 6 IP's with 2 hits 1 BB and 7 K's. (Baseball America's boxscores aren't showing the IP's hence the probably).
From John Manuel "Live-armed lefthanders Jesus Reina, 20, and Jonathan Sanchez, 22, both impressed in different ways. Reina was one of the youngest starting pitchers in his native Venezuela and went 5-1, 3.07 in 56 innings for Caracas, ranking fourth in ERA."
-Also, I'm joining El Lefty's grassroots campaign for the Giants to acquire Vernon Wells. How about Merkin Valdez, Eddy Martinez-Esteve and Ortmeier for Wells. Too much, too little, too ridiculous?? I don't care I want Wells (but I'd also take Alexis Rios).
