Alright, i know a lot of people are enamoured with Nomah on this site, and he does seem like a viable solution to the Giants problem at first (even though i think Niekro should get his fair shot)and since my first choice (if i had a say in the matter) in Wilkerson and my second choice in Overbay have just been traded, what are the other options?
I find it hard to believe Sabean actually thinks Sweeney is the answer as a platoon mate for Niekro.

To me it seems as though the Jays now have a surplus of bats that could fill the 1B position and since im sure one of them will be DH for them next year that still leaves one to be shopped.

What are feelings and possibilities of either Corey Koskie or Eric Hinske? They are both Left handed batters w/ power, prior to this year, or in the case of Hinske, since his rook year, but still the power must be in there somewhere right? Anyway, both can play 1B and 3rd, if you ask me, (not that anyone is) this is the next best route as a possible economical and results payoff.
