Just looking, would Estes be possible? I mean he can't be going for that much nowadays right? He's getting old and didn't do too badly last year. We need a veteran starter and a lefty at that. What's everyone's thoughts and who else would be good candidates from the list?

post this coment as its own diary; however, this one will suffice. The White Sox are preparing to offer a 4 yr 48 million dollar contract to Konerko, WHICH HE PLANS TO REJECT. I think you can safely say that he is out of our price range ;-).

"Keep in mind, Konerko has never posted an EQA above .300. Before this season, his career high in WARP was 4.8, or about what Randy Winn averaged as a Mariner. Two years ago, Konerko hit .234/.305/.399. He'll turn 30 before opening day rolls around next year.
